About the MRC Pontiac

The MRC Pontiac manages regional planning, waste, water courses, forests, the un-organised territory, and public safety and security. It sees to the preparation of assessment rolls for the municipalities, the sale of property for non-payment of taxes, the management of sports and recreation activities, animal control, geomatics services, as well as rural, cultural and tourism development, and business support through its CLD.

In addition, the MRC Pontiac provides services directly to residents, such as vehicle registration and the home repair, renovation and adaptation program, Reno-village.

The MRC Council is composed of the mayors of the 18 local municipalities and is chaired by the current Warden, Mr. Michael McCrank.

What am I?

This municipality was part of Pontiac County until the reorganisation of Quebec counties in 1979. It is now part of MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais.
