Hydro Québec's new Energy Wise Home Diagnostic Program

Save energy and contribute to repairing three arenas in the MRC Pontiac

Thanks to Hydro Québec’s new ENERGY WISE Home Diagnostic program, you can now kill two birds with one stone: save energy and help fund a project in your community.

 

Consumers fill out a questionnaire that analyzes their energy consumption and, in exchange, receive a personalized recommendations report containing practical energy-saving tips. This new regional and community-oriented approach, which will be deployed throughout Québec until 2010, has just been launched in the MRC Pontiac.

 

How to participate

During the campaign, Hydro-Québec will give each participating municipality either $30 or $35 (depending on whether the print or online questionnaire was filled out) for each recommendations report issued. The more reports, the more money the MRC will receive.

 

In the MRC Pontiac, we hope to persuade at least one third of eligible customers to participate.* If we succeed, we could potentially receive $65,121 for our project. But let’s aim even higher! Your municipal council has decided to use the amount collected for repairing the MRC Pontiac's arenas.

 

If you have Internet access, you can fill out the questionnaire right now by visiting www.wegowitheflow.com. Otherwise, Hydro-Québec will mail you a copy in a couple of weeks. Please keep it in a safe place and fill it out as soon as you have time. If you’re having problems filling out the Home Diagnostic form you can call 1 800 ENERGIE (363-7443) to obtain more information on the questionnaire, the program or the campaign.

If you have already completed your Home Diagnostic questionnaire, you can still contribute to the campaign by encouraging friends, family or neighbors to do it as well—for themselves, for the community and for the environment.

*To be eligible, Hydro-Québec residential customers must have had an electrical service contract at their current address for at least 12 months and have not already completed the Home Diagnostic for that same address.
