Administration Committee
The Administration Committee has a decisional power on the administrative and financial activities of the MRC Pontiac. This means that the resolutions adopted by the committee have the same strength and effect as resolutions adopted at the mayors’ council.
The members are:
- Jim Gibson, Mayor of Rapides-des-Joachims (President);
- Albert Armstrong, Mayor of Shawville;
- Graham Hawley, Mayor of Otter Lake ;
- Dick Edwards, Mayor of Sheenboro;
- Winston Sunstrum, Mayor of L'Isle-aux-Allumettes .
Sirs Michael McCrank, warden, and Raymond Durocher,pro- warden, are named for all the executive committees of the MRC of Pontiac.
Strategic Development Committee
The members are:
- Winstom Sunstrum , Mayor of L'Isle-aux-Allumettes (President);
- Ken OLeary, Councellor of Litchfield;
- Paul-Émile Maleau, Mayor of Île-du-Calumet;
- Raymond Durocher, Mayor of Fort-Coulonge;
- Lynne Cameron, Mayor of Portage-du-Fort.
Economic Development Committee (CDE)
The CDE Committee oversees the management of the Economic Development Corporation (CDE), a non-profit corporation established in 1995 by the MRC Pontiac for the development and management of the Ottawa River Waterway and the management of the Cyclopark PPJ. In 2007, the MRCPontiac entrusted the CDE with the maintenance of non-municipal forestry roads on the MRC Pontiac territory.
The members are:
- Donald Gagnon, Mayor of Chichester (President);
- Leslie Belair, Mayor of Mansfield-et-Pontefract;
- Brent Orr, Mayor of Bristol;
- John Griffin, Mayor of Bryson;
- Garry Marchand, Mayor of Waltham.
Land Use Committee
The Land Use Committee has the power of recommendation in land use, environment, and forest management files.
The members are:
- Ross Vowles, Mayor of Thorne (President);
- John A. Lang, Mayor of Clarendon;
- William Stewart, Mayor of Campbell's Bay;
- Paul-Émile Maleau, Mayor of Ile-du-Grand-Calumet.
