Call for Projects
Deadline: March 15th, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.
The rural development funds is open to all registered non-profit organisations, non-financial cooperatives, and municipalities.
Regional development projects in tourism, social-community, culture, agriculture (transformation), forestry (transformation), and those with an environmental impact will be highly prioritized. The maintenance and development of infrastructure, education and training, the consolidation of governance and community associations, as well as sustainable development will be considered success factors. Priorities and success factors are in accordance with the Pontiac Vision 2020 strategic plan guidelines.
Promoters are invited to download the funding application form (below) or contact the CLD’s Rural Team (Amy Taylor, Bernhardt Beaudry and Mélanie Pieschke) who will be happy to provide assistance and answer any questions concerning the program.
The MRC Pontiac’s Rural Pact has been in place since 2001. It has been the springboard for such innovative community projects as the Pontiac’s first Youth Migration Officer, Make Way for Youth, TransporAction, Maison des jeunes, Picanoc Broadband High Speed Internet, Pontiac in Motion, and many more. In 2010, $403,000 was invested in rural projects on the MRC Pontiac territory.
