Vision Pontiac 2020
In 2009, the Pontiac MRC and CLD, in partnership with the SADC, the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export of Quebec (MDÉIE) and Canada Economic Development (CED), initiated a strategic planning process to redefine the socioeconomic future of our communities.
The process called for a visionary, integrated and participative approach. A series of public consultations involving interested parties (including citizens) held in five key sectors (tourism, culture and community, commerce and industry, forestry and natural environment, and agriculture and agri-food) led to a 10-year strategic direction for the MRC Pontiac and a subsequent action plan (below).
