Le conseil régional de la MRC a adopté les états financiers vérifiés pour 2018 du TNO et de la MRC de Pontiac. Suite à la recommandation du vérificateur, la MRC a affiché sur son site Web un mécanisme de divulgation des actes répréhensibles.
Conseil jeunesse de la MRC de Pontiac
Jordan Larivière a présenté un compte-rendu verbal des réunions récentes du Conseil jeunesse dont il est le président. Monsieur Larivière a présenté les objectifs et la raison pour laquelle le Conseil se réunit toutes les deux semaines. Les membres du Conseil jeunesse se concentreront sur les problèmes de santé mentale, la nécessité d’améliorer les services Internet et cellulaires, le transport en commun et la sécurité publique. Monsieur Larivière fera un suivi mensuel lors des séances publiques du Conseil régional.
Développement économique
Le projet Livewell
Le conseil de la MRC maintient son appui au projet Livewell et prolonge
pour une période de six mois l’entente signé avec l’entreprise. Le département de développement économique précisera les nouvelles conditions à venir.
Fonds des grands événements
Dans le cadre de sa politique relative aux grands événements, le Conseil régional de la MRC appuiera l’édition 2019 du Shawville Lions Country Jamboree pour un montant de 5000$.
Dons et commandites
- Le conseil régional approuve l’octroi du don maximal de 500 $ au fonds de Bourses Pontiac afin d’encourager les jeunes à poursuivre leurs études post-secondaires.
- Une commandite de 500 $ est accordée au Groupe L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet afin de promouvoir les attraits touristiques, culturels et patrimoniaux de l’île dans les journaux, à la radio et sur le site Web existant, ainsi que pour couvrir le coût annuel de son utilisation.
- Le complexe sportif Upper Pontiac reçoit une commandite de 500 $ pour le tournoi de golf commémoratif Fred Meilleur qui aura lieu le 28 juin 2019.
- Alleyn-Et-Cawood Mud Run reçoit 500 $ pour recueillir des fonds afin de financer de nombreuses activités dans la communauté.
- L’Établissement des Adultes de la CSHBO reçoit 250 $ pour encourager ceux qui ont atteint leurs objectifs académiques ou qui auront démontré un mérite exceptionnel.
Agrandissement du noyau villageois
Le Conseil régional de la MRC soutient le maire et la municipalité de Rapides-des-Joachims dans leur demande adressée au ministre de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles afin que celui-ci cède des terrains permettant à la municipalité d’agrandir son périmètre urbain.
