Gatineau, April 20 2021 – Due to the improved epidemiological situation, the Outaouais region will go to the alert level (orange) as of May 31, at 00:01.
Measures in effect in the orange zone include:
- The return to full-time classes for students in Secondary 3, 4 and 5;
- Re-opening of restaurants (maximum of two people per table, accompanied, if applicable, by their minor children, or occupants of the same private residence per table);
- A maximum of 100 persons in places of worship (except for weddings and funerals which are limited to 25 persons).
Highlights:
As a reminder, as of May 28, relief will apply in all regions of Quebec:
- Curfew will be lifted;
- Gatherings will be allowed on private outdoor properties (maximum of 8 people from different residences or occupants of 2 residences, with distance);
- The outdoor terraces of restaurants will again be open to customers (in red and orange zones: two people with minor children or occupants of the same residence; in yellow zones, occupants of two residences);
- Travel between regions will be permitted;
- Large halls and outdoor stadiums will be able to accommodate a maximum of 2,500 people in separate 250-person zones with mandatory reservations, as well as separate entrances, exits and washroom facilities for each zone. Other measures, such as distancing and masking, must also be
