Municipal Elections 2021 – Running for Office: Four Information Sessions for the Outaouais Population

Unofficial translation

GATINEAU, QC, May 5, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ – The Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation will hold four virtual information sessions in May entitled “I’m running in the 2021 municipal elections” for Outaouais residents. The purpose of these sessions is to inform and encourage people to run for Councillor or Mayor in the next municipal election.

Organized by the Direction régionale de l’Outaouais, these sessions will address the nomination process, municipal organization and the role of elected officials, thus allowing a better understanding of the commitment to municipal politics. Finally, a question and answer period will be held to close the event.

If you are interested in attending, please send an email to dr.outaouais@mamh.gouv.qc.ca and indicate the date of the session you would like to attend. They will then receive a link to connect to the activity.
