Ce règlement de contrôle intérimaire vise à assurer l’écoulement naturel des eaux, la sécurité des personnes et des biens et à protéger les rives et le littoral de l’ensemble des lacs et cours d’eau du Pontiac. De plus, il maintient également les cotes de crues de la rivière des Outaouais, en vigueur depuis 2006, et intègre celles de la rivière Coulonge entre la route 148 (pont Blanc) et les chutes Coulonge.
