Lors du conseil des maires de la MRC de Pontiac, le budget électoral proposé par le président d’élections, monsieur Bernard Roy, a été adopté.
Quatorze de dix-huit conseillers ont voté en faveur du règlement no 239-2017 fixant le salaire du préfet à 54 890 $ pour la première année, soit la rémunération minimale proposée par la province. Quatre conseillers ont enregistré leur dissidence avec le salaire proposé.
